Root · Flow · Rise · Mastery
Traditional Tai Chi takes time. We believe that is one of its strengths. There is no need to rush through movements simply to complete a form. Our curriculum allows each stage to build naturally upon the one before it.
LEVEL 01
Root
Basic 8 Forms
8 weeks · Twice weekly · $240
Root establishes the foundation. Students learn stance and posture, weight transfer, basic stepping, upper and lower body coordination, relaxation without collapse, foundational Yang Style movements and a short 8-form sequence.
No previous experience required.
First learn where you stand.
LEVEL 02
Flow
Traditional Yang 85 Form — Part I
12 weeks · $360
The traditional long form begins. Movements previously learned individually begin connecting into a continuous sequence. Students continue developing balance, coordination, softness, awareness and continuity.
When the foundation is stable, movement begins to flow.
LEVEL 03
Rise
Traditional Yang 85 Form — Part II & Completion
12 weeks · $360
Students continue through the traditional long form and work toward completing the full sequence. The emphasis gradually changes from remembering what comes next to understanding how the movement happens.
Learn the form. Then begin to discover what is inside it.
LEVEL 04
Mastery
28 Form, Principles, Refinement, Applications
Ongoing · $120/month
Mastery does not mean becoming a ‘master.’ It means committing to refinement. Students revisit familiar movements with greater attention to structure, transitions, intention, traditional principles and practical martial applications. The 28-form set is introduced as part of continuing study.
There is no final movement in Tai Chi. There is always another layer to understand.
